Donna Leishman did an excellent job of doing a modern twist to the childhood story, Little Red Riding Hood. As another student stated before there were a lot of sexual references in the RedRidingHood such as having the wolf symbolize a sexual predator and by having Red become pregnant. I thought Leishman was very clever in the way that whether you decided to wake Red up or let her sleep you will ultimately have the same ending outcome.

This childhood story is yet again being altered, but this time for a big screen movie! In this new version of Little Red Riding Hood “Seyfried plays a girl in love with brooding hunk Peter, played by Shiloh Fernandez. But her parents have arranged a marriage for her to the wealthy Henry, played by Max Irons.Determined to stay together, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they find out that Valerie’s older sister has been killed by a werewolf” (Dailymail). Little Red Riding Hood will be out in theaters March of this year. Watch the trailer below or read the article to get some more background information about this new upcoming attraction!
